Skinner revealed that he had proposed to Mason not once, not twice, but four times previously, only to be met with rejection each time. He attributed her initial hesitation to a ‘terrible personal reason’ and Mason’s past experience of witnessing her parents’ divorce. However, Skinner reassured that there was no ill will involved, stating that Mason had always made it clear she didn’t want a traditional wedding.
